Annaliisa | Assistant Manager | Lawndale, CA
In June I marked my one year anniversary with KFC and have had the opportunity to meet and work with an amazing team. I was an external hire into the Shift Supervisor position, and after 6 months I was asked to begin training as an AUM.
The thing I love most about my job is that KFC stands by their word. If you are a person who has plans, goals, or just wants to be challenged. KFC is the place for you. Other companies I have worked for always say that they have opportunities to grow in the company, but they never follow through. KFC has exceeded my expectations as a company that really wants to see each and every one of their employees succeed.
Along with my former RGM, Gerber, I also help train new employees in the most important part of our business. Hospitality. I help Gerber, set up and explain how serving "meals that matter with southern hospitality", makes it fun to be at work and how it also delivers breakthrough results in CHAMPS and sales. My store currently is #1 in this area.
My only wish is that every employee that steps foot in my KFC has a dream, whether it's to continue to work at KFC, go back to school, or even learn English. I want to show them that KFC will help them achieve their goals. I hope to lead a store as an RGM within the next year or two. My current goals are to continue to nurture and develop a lasting relationship with my husband of one year as of August 25, and to create a plan to own our own home. I know that with KFC and KFCNation I have tools & resources that many have only wished they had access to.

My advice to any new employee that begins working with KFC is to stay. When I interviewed with the Area Coach, I told him very seriously, that I would give this company 1 year to give me an opportunity to advance, either financially or position wise. I also told him that he would see that I was exactly the type of a person he would want to advance. With my ambition and the opportunities KFC has provided, I know I will be able to make and achieve my own dreams, as well as help KFC achieve its objective.
My KFC team is one of the best. We have more than 1/2 of our staff tenured at 5 yrs. or more & that helps make our KFC the best at what it does. As part of the management team we communicate weekly at meetings to decide what opportunities we may have missed and how we can continue to maintain those areas that are # 1. We also focus on recognizing our employees for their contribution every week. Whether it’s a gift card or cake to recognize their achievements at KFC, we let them know we appreciate them, and that's why our KFC has been breaking records this year. |
